About Akanksha Scheme
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a housing loan scheme called Akankha for all government employees in the state to build their own houses/flats. Through this project, the state government will provide free land to the housing department for the construction of flats, which will be identified by the land reform department of West Bengal. West Bengal govt has allocated a budget of Rs 100 crore for this project .
Objective
- The Aspiration Housing Scheme was launched to provide special discounted housing to state government employees.
- Akanka Housing Scheme to provide free land for construction of flats to government employees
Eligibility of Benificiary
- All serving state government employees in West Bengal who do not have their own housing under the West Bengal housing department can apply under Akanksha Housing scheme.
Benefits
All Govt Employees can avail a loan upto 15 lakh Rs for building their houses
Required Documents
The following documents are required to be produced at the time of applying for the scheme:
- Voter Identity Card of the applicant.
- Aadhar card.
- Proof of residence.
