Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched the Delhi Mukhyamantri Jhuggi Jhopdi Awas Scheme for the welfare of slum dwellers. Through this project, Arvind Kejriwal has announced that slum dwellers in Delhi who do not have their own pucca houses, will be provided free pucca houses by the government for depositing a very low amount.

The Mukhyamantri Jhuggi Jhopdi Awas Yojana started with a certificate to provide pucca houses to 65,000 slum families and soon this free pucca house facility will be available to all slum dwellers in the entire state.

The Delhi Chief Minister’s Slum Housing Scheme will provide permanent housing to all eligible slum dwellers in Delhi. Each beneficiary family will also be given a certificate of housing by the government. About 65,000 people in Delhi will benefit from the project.
