Delhi Free Electricity Yojana
In the past, many homes in the country did not have electricity, but today almost every household has electricity, but due to inflation of electricity bills, electricity is now a curse instead of a blessing for the very poor families in Delhi because those poor families are unable to pay their electricity bills. therefore thinking about those families in Delhi, the Delhi government has started this free electricity project
The Delhi Free Electricity Scheme is a very beneficial initiative taken by the Government of Delhi for the benefit of the citizens of Delhi and various tenants living in Delhi. Through this project, the Delhi government will provide completely free electricity to the residents of Delhi who have electricity bills of up to 200 units and will provide a total of 50% subsidy on their electricity bills to the users of more than 200 units.

Eligibility criteria
- Only permanent residents of Delhi will get the benefit of free Electricity project.
- All classes of citizens residing in the State of Delhi will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme
- Tenants can also apply in this scheme
- The maximum power consumption should be up to 400 units to avail the benefits under the project
Benefits
- Through this scheme, the people of Delhi, who used to spend up to 200 units of electricity and pay Rs 622 as electricity bills, has not to be pay any money for using Electricity upto 200 units
- In addition, those who used electricity more than 200 units i.e. 201 to upto 400 units will be exempted as their 50 percent subsidy

How to apply
No updates on the online application process have been known so far under the Delhi Free Electricity Scheme, but you will be able to apply offline easily
Offline Process
- To apply in this Scheme , at first you have to go to your concerned Electricity Office
- From there you have To Take a Application form of this scheme
- Now you Have to fillup all the required Information very carefully and Attach all the required documents copy with the Application Form
- Now submit the form to that electricity office
- if you qualify as a eligible member of this scheme ,then you will get the benefits as informed by the scheme
